Rajesh Kenkre Architects which is a vertical of The Sublime Project, that handles the Urban development projects, was fortunate enough to be credited for the design of ‘Mantralaya”, the new office for the Chief Minister of Goa.

The new seat of power spread across 1000 sq.mts was designed with an idea to not only depict wisdom & strength but also humility, warmth and welcoming nature which the state of Goa is known for.

The material palette includes lot of wood & natural stone finishes in dark tones that depicts strength & power. We used a lot of greens to impart life & softness to the space. The main focal point being the 9 feet tall “Vishwaroop” narrates the connotation of believing ones sacred duties to fulfill ones life purpose.

Since a new floor had to added to an existing functional building, it was definitely a major challenge.

The entire project saw difficulties not only on a technical front but also some drastic weather conditions, which our team withstood strongly.
